The Ministry of Sports and Youth renewed its commitment to supporting the “Akhlaqna” initiative through its active participation in the introductory meeting held under the title “Unforgettable Imprints,” as part of the series of awareness events organized by the initiative to promote ethical values in society. This participation comes as an extension of the strategic partnership between the ministry and the initiative, which over the past two years has produced a number of distinguished events, most notably “Akhlaqna Day,” in addition to various activities targeting youth and instilling positive behaviors in them.

During the meeting, youth centers were introduced to the initiative in general, along with the “Akhlaqna Award,” which includes several categories, such as children and adults, with this year’s focus on the newly launched youth category for ages 18 to 25. Participation conditions and evaluation criteria were presented, and participants were provided with a practical guide to help young people establish community initiatives with a positive ethical impact.

Mr. Ahmed Al-Maliki, Project Director and member of the “Akhlaqna” team, stated that the initiative will see participation from around 30 institutions and companies, including ministries and educational institutions, each presenting various projects and activities under the “Thank You” campaign, such as awareness lectures, educational films, and other programs serving the target group. Al-Maliki called on institutions to activate this noble value and enhance positive partnerships between the initiative and other entities to achieve a meaningful societal impact, particularly in instilling the value of gratitude in society.

Al-Maliki added that the “Akhlaqna” initiative aims to highlight positive youth initiatives and projects, with registration for the award ongoing from this September until January 11, 2026. Since the award’s launch in 2017 by Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation, it has continued to expand, introducing new categories, awareness campaigns, and various activities for Ethics Ambassadors.

The award focuses on competition in the following categories:

  • Buds: ages 7 to 14

  • Teens: ages 15 to 18

  • Youth: ages 18 to 25

  • Individual Contributions: in Qatar and GCC countries, ages 25 to 45

It is noteworthy that the “Akhlaqna” initiative, launched in 2017 by Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation, aims to highlight community initiatives with a positive impact and promote a culture of ethics among all segments of society, particularly youth. The initiative continues to expand annually by adding new categories and launching awareness campaigns and activities with broad participation from government and private entities.
