The third round of the 16th edition of the Al Furjan Playgrounds Football Championship gets underway this evening. Organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation in partnership with the Ministry of Sports and Youth, the round will feature four matches at the Khalifa City Stadium. The championship continues to deliver highly competitive encounters, providing participating teams with an opportunity to compete in a vibrant sporting atmosphere and strengthening the presence of football within the community sports calendar.

The round will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a match between Msheireb and Al Mirqab, as both teams look to secure victory and strengthen their position in the championship. The second match, scheduled for 6:15 p.m., will see Abu Sidra face Umm Qarn, with both teams aiming to put in a strong performance and collect more points. The action will continue with the third match between Al Nasr and Al Rayyan, before the evening’s fixtures conclude with the match between Barzan and Al Awaina.

Mr. Abdullah Al Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, praised the technical performances and competitive spirit demonstrated by the participating teams since the start of the Al Furjan Playgrounds Championship. He noted that the second round witnessed a clear increase in the intensity of competition, with several teams showing closely matched levels, adding further excitement to the championship matches. Al Dosari said that the performances delivered by the teams so far reflect the importance of the championship and the opportunities it provides for players to showcase their abilities and develop their levels through competition. He expressed his expectation that the third round would feature stronger and more exciting encounters, as teams seek to strengthen their chances and continue their journey successfully toward reaching the semifinals.
