Under the umbrella of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation, the Ramadan running races series in the Ash-Shakab area concludes tonight. The fourth round is being held, with participation from all categories and age groups, through the final race starting at 8:30 PM today, Wednesday, covering distances of 3 km, 5 km, 10 km, and 800 meters for children.
The Qatar Sports for All Federation organized the previous three rounds of the race during the holy month of Ramadan, which witnessed remarkable attendance and intense competition among participants, including men, women, and children. The number of participants reached 1058 male and female runners, and the races recorded good results and remarkable attendance, reflecting the keenness to participate and the interest in continuous engagement in sports activities.
Mr. Abdullah Aldosari, Head of Activities and Events at the Qatar Sports for All Federation, praised the distinguished attendance and the intense competition in the previous three rounds, along with the remarkable results achieved during those races throughout the entire month. He expressed his hope that the fourth round today would witness great success and attendance from families to encourage their children to participate and take on the challenge, as seen in the previous rounds.
He mentioned that the previous rounds of the Ramadan running races series took place in a family-friendly atmosphere, achieving the desired outcomes and witnessing wide participation from all age groups, including children, men, and women. These races provided an opportunity for running enthusiasts to participate, compete, and enjoy accompanying entertainment programs, including activities, light warm-up exercises, as well as a variety of exciting sports activities and entertainment games.
The fourth round today marks the conclusion of the Ramadan running races series for everyone.
