The Development Department of the Qatar Football Association concluded the activities of the Level (D) Coaches Course and the first phase of the Level (B) Football Coaches Diploma, as part of the department’s ongoing plans to develop the technical personnel working at clubs and equip them with the latest approved coaching methodologies.
The first phase of the Level (B) Diploma, which lasted for two weeks, featured intensive technical and tactical work, with the training content focusing primarily on defensive and attacking principles of play related to line and group tactics. The programme also covered the fundamentals of team building, along with a comprehensive scientific introduction to designing preparation programmes for the various periods of the football season to ensure teams are ready for competitions.
Meanwhile, the Level (D) course, which was held over nine days, represented an important foundational step for participants. The focus was on assessing the coaches’ capabilities and guiding them towards selecting the most appropriate exercises for developing fundamental skills. The course also placed significant emphasis on enhancing coaches’ ability to manage and interact effectively with groups, while providing them with the proper tools to teach and technically develop children in a manner suited to the characteristics and requirements of each age group.
