His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the State of Qatar, along with his accompanying delegation, participated in the “Mall Running and Walking Challenge,” organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation in partnership with the Ministry of Sports and Youth, as part of its community initiatives aimed at encouraging members of society to engage in physical activity and promoting a culture of sport as a way of life.
The Mall Running Challenge, held last Friday morning from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at Doha Festival City, witnessed the participation of around 150 male and female runners from various categories, age groups, and nationalities, alongside His Excellency the Ambassador and members of the South Korean Embassy. The event took place in a distinctive sporting and community atmosphere that reflected the growing participation in the Federation’s programmes.
Prior to the start of the race, Sports for All organized fitness and warm-up exercises in preparation for the running routes, creating an enthusiastic atmosphere that brought together men, women, young people, children, and senior citizens. The event provides an opportunity for everyone to engage in sport within the halls and walkways of shopping malls, away from the impact of high temperatures during the summer season.
Mr. Abdullah Al-Dosari, Executive Director of the Federation, expressed his happiness at the participation of His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea and members of the Embassy in the Mall Running and Walking Challenge, stressing that this participation is a positive indicator of the initiative’s success in attracting different segments of society and reflects the growing engagement and turnout from one round to another. Al-Dosari said that the participation of the South Korean Embassy adds a community dimension to the event.
