Amid a vibrant sporting and family atmosphere filled with excitement and challenge, the Qatar Sports for All Federation, in partnership with the Ministry of Sports and Youth, organized the third round of the Summer of Sports for All 2026 race series, with the participation of 1,089 male and female runners at the Aspire Indoor Track.
The round witnessed a notable presence of parents and children, reflecting the growing interest in running and giving participants a new opportunity to take on the challenge and enjoy physical activity in a lively family atmosphere. The general race, which started at 3:00 p.m. and continued for two hours, saw wide participation, with 571 runners from various age groups. The women’s race then took place from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with 518 female participants.
The series features a variety of age categories and race durations, allowing each participant to take on the challenge according to their physical abilities. Participants over the age of 17 compete in 30-minute and 15-minute races, while juniors aged 7 to 17 take part in a 10-minute running challenge. Children aged 3 to 6 participate in a five-minute race, allowing family members to take part together.
Mr. Abdullah Al-Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, praised the atmosphere during the third round, emphasizing that the strong family presence gives the race a distinctive character. He noted that the presence of fathers and mothers creates a special atmosphere and adds further encouragement and enthusiasm, while also motivating children and juniors to take on the challenge and establish physical activity as a daily habit.
