The closing event also featured a variety of student performances, interactive activities, and displays of projects that were developed during the summer, all of which reflected the success of the program in nurturing skills and enriching the students’ experiences.

The ceremony included honoring distinguished students and presenting awards to winners of various competitions, in recognition of their commitment and outstanding contributions. This moment symbolized the spirit of cooperation and healthy competition that characterized the program throughout the summer.

He emphasized that the initiative not only developed the students’ skills but also nurtured positive values and healthy habits.

Al-Dosari further highlighted that the summer camps are designed to instill good behaviors and principles in young people, consistent with the values of Qatari society. He pointed out that the strong partnership between the Ministry of Sports and Youth and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education was a key factor behind the program’s success, as it provided an ideal environment to deliver impactful initiatives that support youth development and community well-being.

He explained that the program encouraged teamwork, strengthened the spirit of challenge, and promoted active lifestyles, helping turn sports into a daily habit rather than a limited school activity. He also reaffirmed that the Qatar Sports for All Federation is committed to introducing students to diverse sports and organizing more than 750 events annually to make sports accessible to all members of the community.

For his part, Abdullah Al-Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, described the Summer Schools Program as a comprehensive initiative that combines education, sports, awareness, and recreation. He noted that it succeeded in attracting boys and girls from 6 to 16 years old across eight schools, offering them a wide variety of activities including fitness sessions, football, basketball, volleyball, handball, swimming, self-defense, and creative games. Weekly mini-tournaments added an element of fun and competition to the students’ experiences.

In his concluding remarks, he extended an open invitation to all institutions to continue supporting such initiatives in the future, ensuring their sustainability and growth. He stressed that the joy seen on the faces of the students and their families at the ceremony is the clearest evidence of the program’s success and its role in inspiring young people to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle.
