Oxygen Park track set the stage for an exceptional final round of the Mass Sports Track Races, organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation under the Ministry of Sports and Youth. Held on Friday morning, the fourth and final round turned into a festive family sports event, filled with energy, enthusiasm, and a strong spirit of community. More than 258 participants of all ages took part in the exciting event.

The race featured three timed categories to suit different age groups and abilities. Adults competed in races ranging from 15 to 30 minutes, followed by a 10-minute youth race, while children aged 3 to 6 participated in short races lasting no more than 5 minutes. Winners were determined by the number of laps completed, ensuring fairness across all categories.

The excitement extended beyond the track, as the event evolved into a dynamic recreational and social gathering. Families cheered on the participants, creating an atmosphere that celebrated not just athletic competition but also community spirit, enjoyment, and the importance of physical activity.

At the end of the races, winners in each category were awarded medals and prizes in a joyful ceremony. Organizers also recognized all finishers with encouragement prizes, in appreciation of their participation and to motivate continued involvement in physical activity.

This fourth and final round marked the conclusion of a successful four-race series, which saw a steady increase in participation and growing popularity with each edition. According to Abdullah Al-Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, the races have evolved beyond a mere competition into a family-friendly platform that promotes physical activity and social engagement.

Al-Dosari emphasized the Federation’s commitment to diversifying such events to cater to men, women, seniors, and children, reinforcing that sport is becoming an essential part of daily life for many in the community.

The Mass Sports Track Races series is part of the Federation’s broader initiative to foster a culture of regular physical activity in Qatar. These events offer a welcoming space for all community members to stay active, enhance their fitness, and develop a lasting commitment to a healthy lifestyle.
