In a strategic step aimed at raising health awareness among youth, the Ministry of Sports and Youth signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Qatar Medical Association at the ministry’s headquarters, in the presence of officials and representatives from both sides.

The MoU aims to cooperate in implementing educational programs and initiatives in the fields of mental health, proper nutrition, physical activity, and community health, contributing to building a health-conscious generation capable of actively participating in achieving national development.

The memorandum stipulates the implementation of workshops and awareness seminars, development of educational content targeted at youth, alongside supporting youth initiatives in the health sector, in line with Qatar’s National Youth Policy, especially the “Youth and Health” axis.

Mr. Fawaz Abdullah Al-Musaifri, Director of the Youth Affairs Department at the Ministry of Sports and Youth, stated:
“This MoU signing comes within the ministry’s efforts to engage all youth potentials in various fields, especially in the health sector, which is a fundamental pillar in building an aware and productive youth community. We believe that empowering youth health-wise is a direct investment in the nation’s future, reflecting our commitment to achieving Qatar National Vision 2030 and the ministry’s strategic goals through qualitative partnerships with civil society institutions like the Qatar Medical Association.”

He added:
“These partnerships represent significant value in achieving the ministry’s strategic objectives, reflecting openness to the country’s youth talents across various fields, as well as diversifying activities and events to attract the largest possible number of youth and involve them in qualitative programs that enhance their role in national development and achieving the goals of Qatar Vision 2030.”

On its part, the Qatar Medical Association praised this promising national initiative, which comes within the framework of enhancing integration between health and youth sectors, helping to build a generation aware of its health and capable of adopting healthy and sustainable lifestyles.

Dr. Mishal Al-Musaifri, Chairman of the Association’s Board, said:
“At the Qatar Medical Association, we are committed to harnessing our medical expertise and staff to support these initiatives by providing scientific educational content and organizing qualitative awareness programs that comply with the highest professional and knowledge standards. We look forward to this agreement being a nucleus for future partnerships that contribute to supporting the health of Qatari society and achieving the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.”
