The Ministry of Sports and Youth, in cooperation with the Qatar Center for Professional Development and the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau, launched the second edition of the “Intilaqah” program on November 2, 2025, continuing until November 12, with the participation of university-level youth.

The program aims to empower Qatari youth of both genders to acquire the essential skills required in the labor market and prepare them to increase their chances of obtaining jobs suitable to their specializations, through specialized training courses in professional development.

The training sessions are held daily at Education City, under the supervision of a team from the Youth Development and Empowerment Department at the Ministry of Sports and Youth, with the participation of specialized trainers from the Qatar Center for Professional Development. The program focuses on raising professional awareness and serving the local community, in addition to supporting students in linking their academic interests with their future aspirations.

The launch of the “Intilaqah” program comes as part of the Ministry of Sports and Youth’s efforts to support the state’s journey in building a pioneering educational system that enhances Qatar’s regional and international standing. It reflects the ministry’s and the center’s commitment to investing in youth potential and enabling them to acquire the academic and professional skills needed to choose appropriate specializations and make use of available opportunities in ways that serve their future and contribute to the nation’s advancement.

In this context, Mr. Fawaz Al-Misfari, Director of the Youth Affairs Department at the Ministry of Sports and Youth, affirmed that the “Intilaqah” program represents one of the strategic programs implemented by the ministry to translate its vision of empowering Qatari youth and linking their skills to the needs of the national labor market.

He added that the department seeks through these programs to build a qualified generation with practical, technical, and professional skills required to enhance their competitiveness in the labor market and keep pace with national development requirements.

He noted that the program reflects the ministry’s approach of partnering with educational and professional institutions to support youth and prepare them for successful career paths, in line with the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.

For his part, Mr. Saad Al-Kharji, Executive Director of the Qatar Center for Professional Development, stated that continuous cooperation with the Ministry of Sports and Youth stems from the center’s keenness to provide quality programs that contribute to building the capabilities of Qatari youth and equipping them with the knowledge needed to make informed career decisions that contribute to developing the national human capital.

Ms. Dhabia Ahmed Al-Buainain, Director of the Nomination and Replacement Department at the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau, said:
“We are pleased to cooperate with the Ministry of Sports and Youth in the ‘Intilaqah’ program, which embodies a national vision for empowering Qatari youth and preparing them to actively engage in the labor market.

The Civil Service and Government Development Bureau has ensured a comprehensive experience that included introducing the national employment system and its digital mechanisms through the national employment coordination platform ‘Qawader,’ in addition to raising participants’ awareness of the classification mechanism for job seekers into the green, yellow, and red lists approved on the platform, which serves as a transparent tool for classifying job seekers’ status and updating it based on their readiness and needs, thereby enhancing credibility and seriousness in dealing with the employment system in the future.

This participation affirms the bureau’s belief that building youth capabilities and expanding their career options constitute the cornerstone of forming a national workforce ready for the upcoming stage, in line with the Third National Development Strategy.”

In the same context, Ms. Fatima Al-Naama, Head of the Awareness Department at the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority, confirmed that the authority’s participation in the “Intilaqah” program through the introductory session on “Work Ethics” comes within the framework of its efforts to promote a culture of integrity and transparency among youth and highlight the ethical values that form the basis for professional success in the workplace.
