As part of the 2025 Summer Camp activities at Al Khor Sports Club, and sponsored by SEASHORE, the club’s Youth Committee organized, under the supervision of the Youth Affairs Department at the Ministry of Sports and Youth and in cooperation with the General Directorate of Civil Defense at the Ministry of Interior, an awareness workshop on safety and civil defense for a group of camp participants.

The workshop aimed to familiarize participants with key concepts related to fire hazards, strengthen their awareness of safety and prevention measures, and highlight the vital role of civil defense in protecting lives and property. It also included practical guidance on how to deal with emergencies.

The training featured hands-on exercises in fire safety, including demonstrations on different types of fire extinguishers, their features, and the correct way to use each type depending on the fire. Participants also learned step-by-step procedures for extinguishing fires effectively.

Hamad Ahmed Al-Muhannadi, Supervisor of Youth Programs and Activities at the club, emphasized that the workshop seeks to promote a culture of civil defense among young people, providing them with knowledge and practical skills to respond responsibly in emergency situations. He praised the ongoing cooperation with the General Directorate of Civil Defense and stressed the importance of instilling safety awareness in youth as part of the club’s commitment to community responsibility.
