Under the auspices of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, the Qatar Sports for All Federation has organized a new round of the “Your Healthy Weight” program for this year as part of its diverse sports and community initiatives. This round of the program is dedicated to the employees of the Ministry of Sports and Youth and is taking place today, Monday, and will conclude tomorrow, Tuesday, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the ministry’s headquarters in Lusail Sports Hall.
The program’s activities for the employees featured participation from various departments within the ministry. Numerous measurements and tests were conducted under the supervision of specialized trainers, nutritionists, and primary healthcare doctors. The Federation provides participants in the “Your Healthy Weight” program with a range of vital measurements, including muscle mass, fat percentage, water content, and bone density. Additionally, nutritional and health education is offered to help participants understand obesity levels and the correct, safe ways to lose excess weight by adopting a healthy lifestyle that includes regular exercise.
The event also included the provision of sports and awareness tips to educate participants on the proper methods to maintain an ideal weight. The program’s schedule involved routine medical check-ups for participants, especially measuring blood pressure, blood sugar levels, and fitness levels, as well as ways to improve them in terms of muscular strength, flexibility, and endurance.
This round of the “Your Healthy Weight” program, which has gained significant popularity in previous years, provides valuable services to participants by assessing their health status and offering medical and sports advice to guide them towards a healthier life through regular exercise. The Sports for All Federation is committed to implementing the “Your Healthy Weight” program as part of its mission to serve the community by promoting the concept of a sports culture and encouraging continuous sports practice until it becomes a lifestyle in society.
These diverse and multiple activities and events by the Qatar Sports for All Federation, along with activities that cater to all segments of society, are part of the 2024 Sports for All calendar, which includes more than 720 activities and events. The Federation organizes a large number of sports, community events, and tournaments that attract attention, in addition to daily activities for men and women in public parks as part of the “365 Days of Activity” program.
