The youth division of Al-Rayyan Club organized a workshop titled “Plant and Seedling” in collaboration with the Friends of the Environment Center, under the sponsorship of the Youth Affairs Department at the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The workshop aimed to raise awareness about the importance of plants and their significant impact on the environment. It covered a variety of topics, highlighting the importance of tree-planting campaigns in general, as well as the environmental, social, and economic benefits of planting trees.

The workshop also discussed key methods for plant propagation, such as seeds, cuttings, root division, and ground layering. Additionally, it addressed the essential requirements for plant growth and emphasized the importance of vegetation cover in light of escalating environmental issues and global warming, which have led to various environmental disasters like floods, wildfires, and more. This situation calls for intensified tree-planting campaigns, whether through government institutions or community activities, including home gardening.
