Education City Stadium hosted the third round of the “Sports for All” running races for women and girls, organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth. The aim of the event is to further spread the culture of sports in the community and promote physical activity, through a calendar that includes 66 diverse sports events. In this regard, Abdullah Al-Dosari, the Executive Director, confirmed that this race is an essential event and one of the key stops in the series of women’s activities organized by the federation in collaboration with Qatar Foundation. A total of 173 female participants from various age groups took part in the third round. The competition took place through four different time-based races (5, 10, 15, and 30 minutes).

In the 10-minute race, the results were as follows:

• Fatima Al-Obaidi led the intermediate category, followed by Sheikha Al-Hetami in second place, and Reema Al-Madhakha in third.
• In the youth category, Emilia O’Donnell came in first, followed by Naseeba Boukbash in second, and Aliya Al-Muadi in third.
• In the beginners’ category, Miassa Al-Abdullah claimed first place, Zainab Bint Jaber came second, and Dhahabi Al-Mohannadi finished in third.

In the 15-minute race, the results were:

• Hessa Al-Kuwari claimed first place in the open category, followed by Fatima Al-Rumaihi in second, and Samira Al-Abdullah in third.
• In the Masters category, the first place went to Khalood Aqeel, followed by Reem Al-Muftah in second, and Maha Al-Mansouri in third.
• In the over-40 category, Samah Hammoudi took first place, Linda Fleur came second, and Ghalia Al-Maliki finished third.

The competition continued with the 30-minute race, which resulted in:

• Diane Gardos winning first place in the open category.
• Krisabel Relambagos topped the Masters category after a strong competition.
• Kizabel Siudmark claimed first place in the over-40 category.

The 5-minute race for younger girls ended with:

• Maya Elias in first place, followed by Dana Zayara in second, and Maryam Al-Sulaiti in third.

The series of races for women in Education City will conclude with the fourth round scheduled for next Saturday.
