With a Youthful Vision and Environmental Responsibility: Launch of the New Logo for the Friends of the Environment Center

On Sunday, June 22, 2025, the Friends of the Environment Center, affiliated with the Ministry of Sports and Youth, unveiled its new logo and updated visual identity during a ceremony attended by several partners and environmental stakeholders. This launch underscores the center’s ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility and youth support.

During the event, Mr. Fawaz Al-Musaifri, Director of Youth Affairs at the Ministry of Sports and Youth, said:
“I am honored and pleased to participate in this special occasion, where we celebrate the launch of the new identity for the Friends of the Environment Center, one of the most prominent youth centers supported and sponsored by the Ministry of Sports and Youth. This center stands as a pioneering model in environmental and community work.
This new identity launch is not merely a visual or formal transformation; it reflects a genuine new phase of institutional development aligned with the ministry’s strategic directions. It embodies the ministry’s vision to empower youth and prepare them to be leaders in sustainable development, actively contributing to Qatar’s National Vision 2030.”

He added:
“The Ministry of Sports and Youth, through the Youth Affairs Department, has given great attention to enhancing the role of youth centers, expanding their influence, and developing their tools to serve as real platforms for youth empowerment. These platforms direct young energies toward initiatives that serve the environment and society, while promoting a culture of volunteerism and social responsibility.

The environment is no longer a sectoral issue but a shared national responsibility that requires concerted efforts and activating partnerships, especially with youth, who represent the renewable energy for the nation’s future.

From this standpoint, we reaffirm the ministry’s commitment to supporting every youth initiative that contributes to environmental protection, promotes sustainability concepts, and raises environmental awareness in society.”

Al-Musaifri also praised the significant efforts made by the Friends of the Environment Center in developing its institutional identity, reflecting its future aspirations and enhancing its presence and impact in the environmental and youth arenas.

For his part, Mr. Farhoud Hadi Al-Hajri, Director of the Friends of the Environment Center, expressed pride in this event, noting that the new logo represents a launch toward a more vibrant and impactful phase in environmental work. It embodies the center’s renewed vision and commitment to raising environmental awareness and empowering Qatari youth to be active contributors to protecting their environment and serving their country.
