Under the representation of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, Mrs. Najla Al-Hajri – Head of the Alreyada Girls Center, revealed the Center’s achievements and statistics for the year 2023, where the increase in the number of Qatari female members of the Center reached 359 members, i.e. an increase of 62%, and the percentage of resident female members reached 223 members, while the total number of female members reached To 6069 members. The number of programs provided by the center in the same year reached 126 programs, and the number of programs in the Activities Department reached 66 programs, the Sports Department 56 programs, and the Media Department submitted 4 different programs. The Center is looking forward to more achievements during the current year 2024, after we felt the desire of the female members to continue holding purposeful events and programs that increase their knowledge and develop their skills. Najla Al Hajri, head of the center, emphasized the center’s commitment and continuing to provide high-quality sports and artistic activities at the center during the current year 2024 as well as strive to provide a safe and supportive environment, develop and attain amazing achievements, thanking the Ministry of Sports and Youth for supporting the center’s journey. The head of the Alreyada Girls Center thanked the Youth Affairs Department at the Ministry of Sports and Youth for the continuous support it hands over to the center to continue providing the best to its members. She added, “We are proud of the achievements of theAlreyada Girls Center in 2023, in which the center was able to accomplish the vision and strategy of the Ministry of Sports and Youth.”She brought up that the center is considered a special place, as its administrators strive hard to provide sports activities, events, and various programs for girls who want to develop their skills and discover their talents. During the past year, the center offered 126 diverse activities that contributed to refining the skills and talents of female members and participants. The center witnessed amazing achievements in the same year, also providing a variety of sports activities and programs such as the swimming education program, the water aerobics program, the personal training program, the stationary bike program, the Zumba program, and the gymnastics program. The equestrian program was also presented in cooperation with Al Shaqb , where the program included two stages (a first stage for beginners – a second stage for advanced people) in addition to organizing an equestrian championship. She explained that the center is keen every year to provide everything special to girls, the past year it provided many sporting activities that targeted all age groups, with a focus on the age group of 12 years and above and was also keen to participate in state sporting events, where the center participated. In the good health and well-being campaign in cooperation with the Qatar Scouts Association, in addition to participating in the activities of the National Sports Day in cooperation with Al Markhiya Kindergarten, as well as participating in the activities of the National Sports Day in cooperation with the General Foundation for the Cultural Village (Katara), and craft, artistic and human development workshops were presented. It includes workshops on the art of public speaking, the power of presence and influence, drawing workshops, handicrafts, basics of cameo, the art of sage, and many other workshops and programs. As a matter of community cooperation and partnership, the center worked to cooperate with several state institutions and centers, such as the Qatar Scouts Association, Al Markhiya Girls Kindergarten, the Cultural Village (Katara), and Al Khawarizmi School, as well as also cooperating with the Itqan Center (which is a center for preparing professional Qatari trainers to achieve self-sufficiency. In the training sector, through cooperation with these entities, we were keen to provide a unique experience for all girls who participate in the center’s programs and activities. She pointed out that in 2023, the center launched the “Let Us Be Warm” initiative, which intends to hand out a winter bag to workers in the winter season, as well as provide special programs during the vacation period to make optimal use of girls’ free time and working to establish a spring blossom camp during the spring vacation period. It was an integrated program that included sports, crafts and cooking activities, and also included external visits and trips. The camp also included a visit to the Olympic Museum and a trip to the KidZania games area, in addition to presenting various initiatives and workshops in the holy month of Ramadan, the first of which was a congratulatory workshop for the holy month and an etiquette workshop in the month of Ramadan. Holy Ramadan, we also launched an initiative entitled (From Our Suhoor), and an integrated program was presented during the summer period, which included useful activities for girls to develop their skills in many ways. She noted the great positive impact on the girls who participated in the center’s programs and activities, as these activities contributed to developing their skills and self-confidence, and they learned how to work as a team. Their ability to express themselves with creativity and confidence has also increased. For her part, Walaa Adel Ibrahim, media coordinator and developer, said: The center’s media department presented many workshops and targeted programs over the past year, including the electronic marketing program and the cybersecurity program, which included holding two workshops, the first for the center’s female employees, and the second in cooperation with the Ihsan Center, which included the definition and basics of cybersecurity and Protection from cyberattacks, whether threats, exploitation, phishing, etc. She pointed out that the department also launched the photography program “My Lens Innovate,” in cooperation with the Qatar Photography Center, which included theoretical and practical workshops on mobile photography and went on for 3 days.
