Under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, the Leadership Center for Girls announced the provision of a distinguished set of activities and events as part of this year’s summer program. The center ensured that all activities align with the planned strategy and according to the direction of the Youth Affairs Department at the Ministry of Sports and Youth. The program offers a variety of activities suitable for different age groups, including sports and physical programs, as well as competitive and cultural activities that will continue throughout the summer vacation.

 

Ms. Najla Al-Hajri, Head of the Leadership Center for Girls, stated: “We at our center are keen to provide comprehensive summer activities that help girls learn and entertain at the same time, stemming from the importance of developing girls’ personalities and equipping them with skills that will aid them in their future.” She pointed out that the center strives to achieve the vision and mission of the Ministry of Sports and Youth and to realize Qatar National Vision 2030.

 

Al-Hajri emphasized the center’s commitment to offering a variety of summer activities that meet the needs of the girls and help them spend enjoyable and beneficial time. She mentioned that this year’s summer program is launched under the slogan: “Volunteer and Enjoy” in cooperation with the Qatar Red Crescent Society. The program includes various activities, including educational courses in different fields that help girls develop their academic skills and increase their self-confidence, and creative workshops in areas such as painting, sewing, cooking, and handicrafts, which help girls enhance their creative abilities, develop their skills, and discover talents.

 

Al-Hajri added: “To ensure the diversity of this year’s summer program, the center will organize recreational trips under the theme ‘Made in Qatar,’ including visits to Qatari product factories.”

 

Regarding sports activities, the sports department offers the “Our Summer is Sports” program starting from next July and continuing until the following August. The program includes a variety of recreational sports games and activities aimed at developing the physical and mental abilities of the girls, promoting teamwork, and making good use of free time in a way that benefits the girls and participants. The program includes activities such as warm-up exercises, basketball, swimming, and continues with other sports programs like swimming lessons, aquatic aerobics, gym programs, personal training, and fitness programs, which help girls improve their physical fitness and learn the rules of team play.
