The Ordinary General Assembly of Umm Salal Sports Club convened in the presence of H.E. Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Thani, Vice President of the Club, Mr. Mohammed Salem Al Nuaimi, General Manager, and a representative of the Ministry of Sports and Youth. With full quorum achieved (26 members), the meeting proceeded in a calm and constructive spirit, addressing key matters related to the club’s development and future growth.
The assembly ratified the minutes of the previous meeting held on 27 August 2024, reviewed the Club President’s annual report, and endorsed the work plan and programs for the upcoming season. Members also approved the financial statements for the fiscal year 2024–2025 ending 31 May 2024, along with the proposed budget for 2025–2026. The auditor’s report was discussed, and the assembly confirmed the appointment of the auditor and his fees for the year. Proposals submitted between 28 July and 4 August 2025 were also considered.
In his opening remarks, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Thani thanked members for their commitment and support, stressing the importance of unity as the club closes one season and looks ahead to a new one with high ambitions. He noted that the first team has received strong attention in preparation for the new season, adding that technical stability will positively impact performance.
A recorded welcome message from H.E. Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, President of Umm Salal Sports Club, was also presented. He affirmed the management’s determination to elevate the team’s image in the Doha Bank Stars League and to achieve results that meet the aspirations of fans and members alike.
He expressed confidence in the technical stability of the first team, highlighting new signings with professional players to strengthen the squad. He also praised the efforts of the club’s sports departments, acknowledging their achievements last season and ongoing preparations for the next stage across all sports, including notable progress in youth football and the club’s academy.
