Under the representation of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, the Qatar Sports for All Federation completed this year’s series of races, presenting the sixth edition of the Qatar Tramarathon Race from East to West. It was launched last Friday, from the Sheraton Park, passing through the areas of Al-Shayhaniya, Al Nasraniya, Al Uwaynah, and Al-Kubi, until the evening to the beach of the city of Dukhan the final  station, which includes 683 activities, tournaments, and community sports events, to assemble the ambitions and aspirations of all segments of society. The Qatar Tramarathon race from east to west embodies a major annual event within the sports races for all, due to the growth it has witnessed all these years, as the current edition witnessed the participation of 1000 racers, from 73 nationalities, including 733 men and 267 women, who competed strongly on the race track, which has become a vital place that brings together families and friends who attend the tracks to motivate and create a wonderful competitive atmosphere, the current version also witnessed a new development in the structure of the race by adding a new classification within the individuals for men and women, which is the invention of a category above and under the age of 40, to provide the opportunity for the largest number of competitors to participate in the marathon. The competitors were also distributed between the two teams and the individual classifications, concluding the number of teams to 155 teams, and 147 competitors competed, including 122 in the men’s category and 25 in the women’s category of singles competitions, knowing that all participants in the race over 16 years of are amateur and professionals, and the Qatari competitors registered a large presence in the race, reaching 25% of the total participants, including 33 women, in addition to other nationalities that participated actively and recorded a distinguished presence. It is important to say that the race is distinguished in the preparation and organization through the success it achieves from one version to another and the great turnout it is witnessing from all countries.
