The third edition of the track race series, organized by the Qatar Sports For All Federation under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, took place last Friday on Aspire’s indoor track with strong participation from various age groups. The event was filled with enjoyable sporting and recreational moments. This edition is part of a series of four consecutive rounds that the federation is keen to organize regularly.
In the men’s competitions:
- In the 10-minute race, John Isaac claimed first place in the intermediate category, Shadi Abu Zaki topped the juniors, and Niko Ramos led the beginners.
- In the 15-minute race, Calvin Motatero took first place in the open category, while Guillaume led the masters category.
- In the 30-minute race, Ronald Mujisha won the open category, and Jarallah Al-Nabti topped the masters.
- In the 5-minute race for children, Zain Salem finished first, followed by Jack Salisbury in second and Mohammed Ehan in third.
In the women’s competitions:
- In the 10-minute race, Ghada Abdullah secured first place in the intermediate category, Serin Abu Zaki led the juniors, and Ruya Masoud topped the beginners.
- In the 15-minute race, Amra Imamovic won the open category, while Samah Hammoudi Mansouri led the masters.
- In the 30-minute race, Christabel Relambagos excelled in the open category, and Angelita Manu took first place in the masters.
- In the 5-minute race for young girls, Edison Leon finished first, followed by Shaikha Abdullah in second and Shaikha Al-Qahtani in third.
Abdullah Al-Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports For All Federation, expressed his satisfaction with the success of the track race series held within Aspire facilities. He highlighted that the large turnout and broad engagement from different community segments, especially families and children, paint a vibrant and lively picture.
