The Qatar International Baylon Race competitions, hosted by Qatar for the first time in the Middle East, will begin this morning and will continue for 3 days, at its center in the Qatar Wireless Sports Center, under the sponsorship and support of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, amid a large participation of 13 countries and more than 45 competitors. The competitions continue over the three days from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm, and it is the event that puts Qatar on the agenda for organizing Baylon races in the world. Also participating in the international race is the “Qatari Baylon Race Team”, which has achieved many victories and is considered one of the fiercest competitors in the world, as it is ranked among the 10 strongest teams in the world. It includes Sheikh Abdullah AlThani and Fahad AlHumaidi, who are among the most important teams in the world. For the first time, the new generation, Abdullah Fahad AlHumaidi, is participating in the race, as evidence of the success of the Ministry of Sports and Youth and the Qatar Wireless Sports Center in achieving their most important goals, which is empowering Qatari youth, and supporting them. Also participating in the Qatari team are Captain Ali AlKuwari, who is the youngest Qatari competitor and ranked first in Qatar, and Captain Khalifa AlKuwari, ranked second in the “Qatar local championship”.The organizing committee allocated large prizes for the tournament, with the first place holder receiving $5,000, the second place holder receiving $3,000, and the third place holder receiving $2,000 for each category. The organizing committee invited the fans to enjoy the competitions and events, where the tournament witnessed the participation of productive families to introduce the attendees from all countries of the world to the Qatari heritage and Qatari heritage meals. The tournament also witnesses many events, including children’s games, gatherings for participating restaurants and gifts to the public.
