The Qatar Sports for All Federation has announced the organization of the “Desert Wolf” Ultra Marathon 2024 for the fifth consecutive year. The event is scheduled for November 22, as announced during a press conference held yesterday at the Ministry of Sports and Youth, in the Lusail Sports Hall, alongside the signing of a cooperation agreement with Trails Events Company.

The Desert Wolf Race is a long-distance international event recognized by the International Trail Runners Association, organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth.

The competition will be held in two stages. The first stage, taking place on the first day, includes mountain bike races over distances of 25 km and 50 km. On the second and final day, there will be running races, including a 3 km race for juniors, an 800-meter race for children, and 10 km, 25 km, and 50 km races for various categories of men and women. There is also a special “Alpha Wolf” category for participants with greater capabilities, featuring a 50 km bike race on the first day followed by a running race on the second day.

Abdullah Al-Dosari, Head of Activities and Events at the Qatar Sports for All Federation, emphasized that the Desert Wolf Ultra Marathon is one of the federation’s significant races. It is a part of the community sports activities eagerly awaited by enthusiasts of running and cycling.
