The Ministry of Sports and Youth held, on the evening of Thursday, March 28th, in the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, Minister of Sports and Youth, at the Sheraton Hotel, the Sports and Youth Excellence Awards for Clubs, under the slogan “Excellence of Generations, Excellence of the Nation”. This event aims to honor sports clubs and youth centers.
Leading Institutions
The ceremony was attended by a group of leading institutions in the sports and youth field, representatives from Aspire Zone Foundation, representatives from the Qatar Olympic Committee, as well as 16 representatives from sports clubs and 36 representatives from youth agencies and centers under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth. The total attendance was approximately 250 people.
During the ceremony, a short video was presented summarizing the sports and youth activities in a transition style.
Additionally, the participating entities were honored in two categories: the sports category and the youth category.
In the sports category, the following three winners were honored:
- First place: Al-Arabi Sports Club.
- Second place: Al-Sadd Sports Club.
- Third place: Al-Rayyan Sports Club.
As for the winners in the youth category, the youth centers and agencies were honored as follows:
- First place: Qatar Scientific Club.
- Second place: Semaisma and Al Zghain Youth Center.
- Third place: Leadership Center for Girls.
- First place among youth agencies: Al-Khor Sports Club.
- Second place among youth agencies: Al-Arabi Sports Club.
- Third place among youth agencies: Al-Rayyan Sports Club.
