Under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, the Qatar Sports for All Federation, as part of its school visits and sports programs plan, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, organized a sports and recreational program that includes football tournaments, recreational running races, and Muay Thai sports training. The second round of sports and recreational tours was held the day before yesterday in the northern region, at Al Khor Primary School for Girls, as part of the ‘School Sports League Championship’ program for the southern, northern, and central regions for boys and girls. These activities will continue for three weeks through three separate tournaments covering these regions and will last until the 28th of this month, with the aim of reaching school students in their respective areas.

The competitions at Al Khawr Girls’ School in this round, under the supervision of specialized coaches provided by the Federation, witnessed significant and enthusiastic participation from all the students, with a total of 60 girls. They eagerly competed in recreational running races and football. The visit was characterized by liveliness and activity, including warm-up exercises, physical fitness training, and a trial running race for the students on two laps, followed by the main relay race over four laps. Students from the fourth and fifth grades participated in the events, which were held in a wonderful atmosphere. 

The diverse sports and recreational activities continued at Al Khor School through a football competition between fifth and sixth-grade students, which started at 8:00 AM and lasted until 10:30 AM. The competition included football skills such as passing, dribbling, and shooting on goal. The sports day concluded with an award ceremony for the first and second-place winners in the recreational running race, and medals were distributed to the top two teams in the football league. Additionally, two best players and a goalkeeper were selected for recognition. All participating students in the sports activities were honored with encouragement awards. School visits will continue throughout the week, with a new sports tour scheduled at Tariq bin Ziyad Primary School on Tuesday, and another on Thursday.

The third stage of the championship will take place in the southern region in Al-Wakrah, at Abdulrahman bin Jassim Preparatory School and Al-Wakrah Primary School for Girls. This stage will span four days from the 24th to the 28th of this month. The Qatar Sports for All Federation will conclude the school football league competitions by crowning the winning teams with the championship trophy and distributing encouragement medals.
