Yesterday at 9 a.m., a new round of the “Determination Initiative” activities for young boys and girls kicked off at the Lusail Sports Hall. Organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, the event featured a variety of sports and entertainment activities, which continued until 1 p.m. The initiative, which the federation has been organizing for some time, aims to contribute to raising a new generation of educated athletes with a high level of cultural awareness, equipping them with the ability to innovate and create in the future.

The latest round of the initiative was filled with a variety of sports and entertainment activities held in an atmosphere of energy and fun. These included physical fitness exercises, warm-ups, tug-of-war competitions, “Telematch” contests, football games, and training on passing, shooting, and dribbling skills. The events were supervised by coaches from the Sports for All Federation and also featured many entertainment activities that the children enjoyed and participated in with great excitement and enthusiasm.

The Qatar Sports for All Federation has consistently organized such events with a strong focus on young children, believing in the importance of involving them in sports and recreational programs. The federation views children as the seeds of the future, which society looks forward to with great optimism. These initiatives aim to develop their sports and physical abilities, which in turn improve the overall health of the community. Additionally, these programs help reduce the need for medical treatments related to inactivity and combat the risks of children becoming addicted to electronic devices, protecting them from the dangers present on social media platforms.

Abdullah Al-Dosari, Head of Activities and Events at the Sports for All Federation, described the “Determination Initiative” as reflecting an advanced vision for how to utilize the resources provided by the state and benefit from the modern sports facilities spread across Qatar. These facilities are opened to our young children to engage in sports and entertainment activities as part of the efforts by the Ministry of Sports and Youth, represented by the Sports for All Federation, to make sports a way of life in society. He highlighted that such programs for children complement the strategy of promoting sports practice among all members of the community.

Al-Dosari expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the entities involved in making this future-focused initiative a success. He called on everyone to contribute to strengthening the community’s capabilities to build a strong foundation for sports, encouraging young children to participate in sports and activities that enrich them with sports knowledge and culture.
