The Qatar Sports for All Federation has announced the organization of the annual running races, the Autumn 2023 edition, in collaboration with Al-Shaqab Club. The competitions include a series of races starting on Friday, October 27th, and the race rounds will continue until the December.

Mr. Abdullah Al-Dosari, the Director of Activities and Events at the Qatar Sports for All Federation, confirmed that the race schedules have been set to take advantage of improved weather conditions, providing everyone with the opportunity to participate and enhance their athletic abilities.

‘These races serve as a way to occupy the leisure time of the youth, and they are open to everyone. Participation is available through the dedicated application of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, QSFA’, he added.

Al-Dosari also mentioned that the race course will include water stations every 2.5 km, from the beginning to the end of the race. Additionally, there will be medical support and healthcare for the participants during the race. Competitors will be provided with a race number and a tracking chip, which will indicate their precise timing throughout the race.

The Director of Activities and Events at the Qatar Sports for All Federation clarified that at the end of the race, participants will be honored with medals for all distances. Special prizes will also be awarded to the top 3 participants in the open category, aged 17 to 39, in the 5 km and 10 km races.

The series of races is part of the calendar implemented by the Qatar Sports for All Federation for the current year 2023. It includes numerous events and activities that cater to all segments and categories of society, comprising a total of 683 sporting activities.
