Under the representation of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, the Qatar Sports for All Federation organized the Al Bayt Stadium Challenge Race 2023, with the participation of 284 contestants from various categories. The race stages contained three different distances between 3, 5, and 10 kilometers, for different categories, men, women, and juniors, in addition to the 800m children’s race. The race earned success at the level of participation and competition, the quality of the organization, and the winners of the first three places were awarded in each category financial prizes and honorary trophies. The 10 km men’s race for the Master’s category, for the age of 40 years and above, guided the contestant Mustafa Hisham with first place, and the open category 10 km, guided by the contestant George Thimbhson. In the women’s category, in the same category, “Masters 10 km,” competitor Helen Allen took first place, while competitor Megan McKenna won first place in the open category. In the 5 km competition in the adult category for men, competitor Michel Wernerman won first place, and in the open category, Salman AlMannai won first place, and as for the intermediate category for men, competitor Brynlam Aliner won first place. In the women’s competitions in the senior 5 km race, contestant Sandra Hallows topped the race distance and came first, while in the open category race, contestant Laura Fenech won first place. In the youth category competitions, contestant Dana Abdullah won first place in the intermediate level for girls, and in the adult category, contestant Nadine Al-Yaniar won first place, while Kholoud Aqeel won first place, in the open category. In the junior category, Noor Khan took the lead in first place, while Aria LaHori came in first place in the girls’ competition in the 10 to 12-year-old category. In the 3 km competition for juniors, in the adult category, racer Guillaume Aliner excelled by obtaining first place. As for the open category, Samir Naveed came in first place. As for the beginner competition for children aged 7-9 years, Khalifa Al-Khulaifi took the lead in the race. On average, Ibrahim Al-Khulaifi came in first place. In the special race, for a distance of 800 meters, for ages 3-6 years, Wadha Hassan came in first place in the girls’ race, while Siyar Al-Tamimi topped the boys’ race. For his part, Mr. Abdullah Al-Dosari “Director of Activities and Events at the Qatar Sports for All Federation”, expressed his happiness with the tremendous participation in the race, pointing out the Federation’s keenness to present a comprehensive calendar every year, which is differentiated by its diversity and includes many events for marathons and races.
