Amid a vibrant and energetic atmosphere, the competitions of the first edition of the Track Race Series, organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, will kick off tomorrow at the Aspire indoor running track.
The event is expected to attract more than 400 male and female participants of various age groups, including men, women, children, and seniors.

The series includes five races taking place throughout this month. Three of them will be held at the Aspire track on September 5, 12, and 19, while the final race will take place at Oxygen Park at the end of the month. This offers participants a unique experience across both air-conditioned and open-air environments.

The race is part of the 2025 Sports for All calendar, which features more than 750 events and activities, including championships hosted in stadiums, sports halls, clubs, youth centers, public parks, and schools.

Tomorrow’s race begins at 8:00 AM and continues until 9:00 AM. The competitions are divided into specific time-based categories tailored to different age groups:

  • 15 to 30 minutes for adults aged 17 and above,

  • 10 minutes for juniors aged 7 to 17, and

  • 5 minutes for children aged 3 to 6 years.
The goal of this diversity is to encourage the largest possible participation, with the winning system based on completing the highest number of laps within the allotted time, offering a fair and inclusive opportunity for all.

Abdullah Al-Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, stated that the growing interest in summer races — and the great success they have achieved with strong family participation and impressive turnout — prompted the Federation to launch a new four-edition series of track races. Tomorrow’s race is expected to draw over 400 participants from all age groups, in a joyful and dynamic atmosphere supported by the entire family. He also noted that there is still a chance for everyone to participate in the upcoming races throughout the month by registering through the Sports for All app.

Al-Dosari explained that the Track Race Series aims to provide comfortable, air-conditioned venues that encourage participants to continue taking part in running races, which the Federation organizes regularly year-round. These races are designed to serve all members of society and are part of the Federation’s efforts to promote a culture of physical activity, making exercise a part of daily life. They offer a stimulating environment that develops participants’ abilities and prepares them for future races and marathons.

He added that this distinctive indoor running event represents a valuable addition to the Sports for All activities and championships. He stressed that the entire initiative aligns with the vision and plans of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, aimed at promoting a sports culture through engaging and purposeful programs that encourage community members to actively engage in various sports and social activities.
