The Qatar Scientific Club, affiliated with the Ministry of Sports and Youth, is participating in the 16th edition of the International Invention Exhibition in the Middle East, organized by the State of Kuwait from February 8 to 11, 2026, with a delegation of elite Qatari innovators presenting a range of high-quality scientific and technological innovations.

The Qatari delegation is headed by Eng. Abdulrahman Saleh Khamis, Deputy Executive Director of the Scientific Club, and includes five innovators showcasing projects that reflect the creativity and excellence achieved by Qatari youth.

Among the innovations, Hessa Mansour Al Nuaimi presents the “Ultrasonic Fire Extinguishing Device,” an innovative system that uses directed sound waves to extinguish flames without chemicals or water. Shahd Ahmed Al Sulaiti contributes the “Smart Helmet,” which can capture images and measure distances at the push of a button. This helmet uses ultrasonic sensors and artificial intelligence to accurately estimate object dimensions in real-world environments, displaying results on an electronic interface for analysis. This innovation is the result of a collaboration between the Qatar Scientific Club and Ashghal as part of the fourth edition of the “Engineer of the Future” program, with Ashghal joining the Qatari delegation at the exhibition.

Mohammed Hassan Al Sayed presents the “Advanced Coral Reef Map,” a project that uses deep learning and mathematical models to analyze underwater images and track changes in coral reefs, providing a scientific tool for monitoring reef health and supporting marine conservation efforts. Hessa Ibrahim Al Kuwari showcases a “Smart Medication Reminder Device,” which helps patients adhere to medication schedules through audible and visual alerts, reducing missed doses among the elderly and patients with chronic illnesses.

Finally, Al Jawhara Mohammed Al Shammari contributes a “Drone for Monitoring Fungal Diseases in Greenhouses,” which uses an intelligent unmanned aerial vehicle to monitor crops, detect infected plants early, and send captured images for analysis to determine appropriate treatment.

Eng. Abdulrahman Saleh Khamis emphasized that the club consistently participates in this exhibition, the second largest invention fair in the world, to support Qatari innovations, empower young innovators, and foster connections with inventors from other countries, especially Gulf and Arab nations, building confidence and expanding their knowledge.

He added that the Qatar Scientific Club has a long history of awards and top rankings at this exhibition, reflecting the growing development of the innovation process, which continues to advance steadily over time. He also praised the Ministry of Sports and Youth for its support of Qatari youth and innovators.
