As part of the ongoing efforts to enhance digital accessibility and develop the role of youth in the fields of innovation and technology, the Qatar Scientific Club, with the partnership of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, and the Assistive Technology Center (Mada) signed a strategic cooperation protocol aimed at supporting the fields of assistive technology and expanding digital culture among various segments of society.
The signing of this protocol comes within the context of supporting Mada Center’s efforts to enable digital accessibility for persons with disabilities and senior citizens, while the Qatar Scientific Club seeks to provide technical and knowledge-based support through joint workshops and training programs, the exchange of expertise, and the use of scientific and technical laboratories. In addition, the club will offer technical consultations for youth projects in the fields of assistive technologies and artificial intelligence.
This cooperation falls within the framework of the Qatar National Youth Sector Policy Action Plan, which aims to create an enabling and supportive environment for youth of all categories to engage in effective civic participation, empower youth with difficulties and disabilities, and provide them with equal opportunities for integration and participation in society. It also seeks to improve and prepare their surrounding environment in a way that ensures the removal of barriers to their active participation, while supporting education, research, and innovation, and enhancing youth capacities in technology and information fields in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
