The Qatar Federation for All Sports announced the opening of registration for participation in the 10th edition of the Qatar Youth Football League 2026, which will begin its matches in January next year at Aspire Stadiums and continue until February.
The organization of the Qatar Youth League aims to encourage young Qatari football talents and help develop their skills and abilities. It also provides a great opportunity for young non-professional players to compete and gain experience in a professionally organized tournament managed by experienced and qualified referees.
Mr. Abdullah Al-Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Federation for All Sports, stated that previous editions of the Qatar Youth League have helped showcase distinguished Qatari football talents, with successive editions achieving great success, reflected in the increasing number of participants from one edition to the next. He noted that the tournament provides Qatari youth over 16 years old the opportunity to play football, a popular game among most of them, in an organized manner and according to official football rules. The federation provides many facilities and preparations to ensure a high-level tournament and equal opportunities for all participating teams, making the organization of the league of the highest standard.
The Executive Director confirmed that the Qatar Youth League 2026 will be among the key events through which the Federation for All Sports will kick off its activities for the new year. The tournament serves as an ideal start for the various sports events the federation will offer next year. He emphasized that organizing the league aims to give young Qatari football enthusiasts the opportunity to showcase their skills and abilities while ensuring equal opportunities for all to engage in sports activities.
The rules and regulations of the Qatar Youth League allow the participation of amateur Qatari players over 16 years old who are not registered with the Football Association, excluding players from the amateur, futsal, and beach leagues. Each team may field nine starting players per match and have a squad of at least 14 and up to 20 players. Each participating team is allowed a maximum of five substitutions per match.
