The Ministry of Sports and Youth received the Leadership in Institutional Transformation Award, as part of a ceremony honoring the Ministries and Government agencies that won the Government Excellence Award in its first assembly.

The Ministry of Sports and Youth won this award for its success in stimulating innovation and experimenting with emerging technologies, for leadership with exceptional qualities, and the ability to make appropriate decisions effectively.

The award was received by His Excellency Mr. Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali, former Minister of Sports and Youth, and His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, current Minister of Sports and Youth.

The Government Excellence Award aims to motivate the efforts made, valuing outstanding achievements, raising the level of quality of government work performance, and competing in the areas of achievement and development in a way that contributes to achieving the Qatar National Vision 2030.
