In a new milestone reflecting its commitment to institutional excellence, the Ministry of Sports and Youth has obtained the ISO 9001:2015 certification for Quality Management Systems. This achievement comes after the Ministry fulfilled all the necessary requirements and international standards, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance institutional performance and service quality.

The project included the implementation of a comprehensive review of procedures and processes, the development of an integrated administrative system focused on governance and operational efficiency, and the organization of awareness and training workshops targeting various departments. These efforts were aimed at building internal capacity to sustain and continuously develop the system.

On this occasion, H.E. Eng. Yasser bin Abdullah Al-Jamal, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, stated:

“Obtaining ISO 9001 certification reflects our commitment to applying the highest standards of quality in government operations. It demonstrates our dedication to institutional development and empowering national talents, in line with our strategic goals built on scientific foundations and international best practices.”

He added that the quality management system adopted by the Ministry serves as an effective tool for monitoring, evaluating, and improving performance on an ongoing basis. The project received strong engagement from departments across the Ministry, contributing to the promotion of a quality-driven culture and enhancing institutional readiness for this prestigious international accreditation.

The Ministry continues to expand its implementation of best practices in quality, ensuring continuous development and long-term improvement across its institutional systems.
