As part of its ongoing efforts to support and empower Gulf youth and promote joint youth initiatives across the region, the Ministry of Sports and Youth, in collaboration with the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), has announced the launch of the training program titled “The Art of Debate and Argumentation”. The program will take place in Doha from October 19 to 24, 2025, in partnership with the QatarDebate Center – a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development.

The program aims to enhance the debating skills of young people from GCC countries, develop their critical thinking and logical reasoning abilities, and encourage constructive dialogue and persuasive communication. It also seeks to empower participants with foundational debate techniques, public speaking skills, and effective discussion management, while promoting shared values and cross-cultural understanding among GCC youth.

The training will be delivered by QatarDebate Center, featuring a group of certified trainers who will provide participants with hands-on, practical experience in debating and argumentation.

The program includes specialized workshops and simulated debate sessions, along with cultural activities and field visits to prominent landmarks across Qatar, fostering deeper connections and professional networks among participants.

Targeting youth aged 18 to 29 from GCC member states, the program will host a total of 36 participants—with five participants from each country, in addition to 11 participants from Qatar, the host country.
