His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, Minister of Sports and Youth, paid a visit to the residences of the Saudi and Emirati national teams to welcome them to their second home.

His Excellency also visited the Bahraini national team’s training camp during their final training session at Al-Aqla Stadium No. 8, in order to check on the health of Bahrain’s national team goalkeeper, Ibrahim Lutfullah, following the injury he sustained in his country’s match against Iraq in the first round of the البطولة. He was unable to complete the match and left the field, making way for his teammate, goalkeeper Omar Salem.

The official account of the Bahraini national team on Twitter published a video of the visit by His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, during which he wished goalkeeper Lutfullah a speedy recovery and a swift return to the pitch.
