Under the auspices of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, the Sports for All Federation has announced the launch of the third edition of the training program for beginners to learn Muay Thai. This program will be organized by the Federation in collaboration with various centers, including the Youth Department of Al Sailiya Sports Club and the clubs of Al Rayyan, Al Sadd, Al Khor, and youth centers represented by Al Samisima, Al Daayen, Doha Youth, Al Thakhira, and Al Jumailiya. The aim is to develop self-defense skills and capabilities among young people and adolescents.

The training program’s events, which started last Saturday evening, have seen a noticeable level of participation. This underscores that organizing more training programs for this sport will continue to attract more participants over time. The training sessions, which take place twice a week starting at 5:00 PM and last for an hour and a half, are supervised by specialized coaches.

The program’s events will continue until the 10th of November next month. Registration for participation in the program’s activities can be done through the Sports for All Federation application, which includes all the details to facilitate the process of joining and participating in various sports activities for everyone.

Mr. Abdullah Al-Dosari, the Director of Activities and Events at the Sports for All Federation, emphasized the importance of providing greater opportunities for young people to practice Muay Thai. This is because it holds value and significance in learning a new form of self-defense techniques and aims to promote a greater culture of sports participation through the significant number of clubs and youth centers participating in the current edition of the Muay Thai training program.

The current training program is part of the activities and programs of the union, which aim to organize and promote training and educational programs for some of the modern sports that have recently gained popularity among the youth. The third edition of the training program is considered an extension of the achievements in the first and second editions, both of which were organized by the union in various clubs and youth centers.

Through organizing events for new sports, the Federation aims to diversify and expand the range of sports activities, seeking to involve as many individuals in the community as possible in physical activity. This effort aligns with the Ministry’s plans and goals to promote and establish a sports culture, as well as broaden the scope of participation for various segments of society. The calendar of the Sports for All Federation includes numerous events and activities, totaling 683 activities, to meet the sporting aspirations of all segments and categories in society.
