The third edition of the Youth Ambassadors Program, organized by the Youth Affairs Department of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, has kicked off. The diverse training courses will continue until November 11th, with a significant participation of Qatari youth, including 32 participants who were selected for this program from a large pool of applicants. Ten outstanding young men and women will be chosen based on the criteria and evaluations of the training entities to visit the United Kingdom in collaboration with this year’s international partner, the United Kingdom. The visit aims to exchange youth experiences in political and cultural fields, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant authorities.
Cooperation has been established with the British Embassy and UNESCO as international partners to enrich the international aspect, promote collaboration, and empower local and international participants. The program equips Qatari youth of both genders with the qualifications to assume positions in either the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or other ministries within the country, as they will be eligible for such roles.
The Youth Ambassadors Program for Support is one of the strategic programs under the Youth Affairs Department of the Ministry of Sports and Youth. The program has been in operation for two consecutive editions starting in 2021. It aims to build the capabilities of Qatari youth and empower them with essential skills to become youth ambassadors representing Qatar in both local and international arenas. This includes representing the country at various United Nations branches and responding to official invitations from external entities and international organizations. This opportunity allows them to assume professional and community leadership roles that contribute to the realization of Qatar’s Vision 2030.
