Today, in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali, Minister of Youth and Sports, the first international conference in the world for camel technology, “Camel Tech,” kicked off. The conference is organized by the Qatar Camel Beauty Club, affiliated with the Ministry, in partnership with the International Camel Organization, and with the participation of various international and regional entities, experts, international specialists, camel owners, profit and non-profit companies, research centers, and universities.

The conference aims to explore the latest modern technologies in the camel sector, develop and benefit from them, and open avenues for research to provide technological solutions to the challenges faced by those involved in camel sports. The goal is to keep the camel sector abreast of modern technologies and digital transformation, and to establish a meaningful scientific dialogue discussing the role of technology and artificial intelligence in the camel sector.

The conference also reviewed several scientific researches related to the use of artificial intelligence technology in the camel sector and facilitated an exchange of ideas to enhance coordination and collaboration on the use of artificial intelligence technology in camel breeding and care. It also shared the latest research findings and innovations in camel technology. The conference witnessed the launch of the smart assistant service “Haware” on the “Mazayen” application and the website of the Qatar Camel Beauty Club. The smart assistant utilizes artificial intelligence to answer users’ questions and inquiries about participating in the new season of the Qatar Camel Festival for the year 2024, “Jazeelat Al Ata.” The assistant also introduces users to all the services provided by the club.
