Under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, the Qatar Sports for All Federation signed a cooperation agreement with the Workers’ Support and Insurance Fund. The signing ceremony took place at the Plaza Doha Hotel on Tuesday afternoon, attended by Mr. Abdullah Al-Dosari, the Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, and Mrs. Khalood bint Saif Al-Kubaisi, the Executive Director of the Fund. The agreement emphasized the importance of coordination and cooperation between the two parties through organizing sports and recreational events for workers and spreading the culture of practicing sports among this important community segment, which represents a key pillar of development.

Mr. Abdullah Al-Dosari stated that the role of the Federation is part of the Ministry of Sports and Youth’s plan to reach the largest number of sports events and more people practicing sports in general. He emphasized the Federation’s commitment to organizing community activities that serve the largest possible segments of society, considering that the Sports for All events provide a good opportunity for all members of society, regardless of gender, to engage in sports through various activities, including football, tennis, volleyball, shooting, running races, marathons, padel, swimming, equestrian, chess, fitness competitions, martial arts, especially Muay Thai, and other sports. He added that one of the targeted groups is workers, who are very important, and the Federation seeks to attract them and open opportunities for all groups to practice sports regularly throughout the year.

The Executive Director of Sports for All confirmed that the agreement and cooperation with the Workers’ Support and Insurance Fund represents a unique initiative that will be the starting point for a better future for workers, within the framework of the Federation’s social responsibility. This initiative aims to spread various sports events and activities among workers in specific areas and to introduce them to appropriate places where they can practice sports, both individually and collectively, for free, through gatherings of various communities in different areas of the country. The goal is for this to benefit both the individual and the community, ensuring good health for everyone. The Qatar Sports for All Federation is keen to diversify the activities it organizes continuously as part of its annual calendar, which includes more than 750 events this year. This provides a great opportunity for everyone to engage in sports and choose the appropriate activity, which aligns with the Federation’s efforts to expand community participation in cooperation with all entities and institutions in the country, making use of sports facilities, public facilities, and organizing events and activities that help improve fitness and public health for all members of society, under the supervision of specialized coaches in various sports.

For her part, Mrs. Khalood bint Saif Al-Kubaisi, the Executive Director of the Workers’ Support and Insurance Fund, expressed her happiness with the signing of the agreement between the Fund and the Qatar Sports for All Federation to enhance sustainable cooperation between the two parties with the aim of organizing recreational and sports events for workers. It is based on the belief in the importance of enhancing recreational and sports aspects, which contributes to improving their quality of life, supporting their mental and physical health, and promoting teamwork. She emphasized that the Workers’ Support and Insurance Fund has taken upon itself the responsibility of caring for the workers’ segment by providing all kinds of support. The agreement reaffirms this responsibility. She concluded by expressing the Fund’s anticipation for a fruitful partnership with the Federation to implement innovative sports and recreational programs and initiatives that will reach as many workers as possible across different sectors.
