Under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, the Qatar Sports for All Federation organized the first edition of the Women’s Running Race series at the Education City Stadium Park. The starting point for the inaugural race, exclusively for women and girls, was inside the World Cup stadiums, kicking off at 6:00 PM on Saturday at Education City. Mothers participated alongside their daughters, competing enthusiastically and creating unforgettable memories on the race track.

The series, held for the first time, includes four exclusive races for women of all age groups, taking place weekly. The races vary from 30-minute races for adults to 5-minute races for young girls. The second race is set to start on November 7, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by the third race at the end of the month. The Federation will conclude the final round of the Women’s Running Race series on December 7, with the third and fourth races running from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Participants competed within different timed categories, with four race durations: 30 minutes, 15 minutes, 10 minutes, and a 5-minute race for young girls aged 3 to 6.

Mr. Abdullah Al-Dosari, Head of Activities and Events at the Qatar Sports for All Federation, noted that the first edition of the Women’s Running Race series was exceptional, with a large turnout of mothers and daughters, running hand in hand and enjoying a beloved sport. He stated that the Federation prioritized such women-only races, dedicating a series of four races at Education City Stadium, giving everyone, young and old, the chance to enjoy a pleasant time engaging in sports in an open space surrounded by nature. He also mentioned that more diverse events for women are planned for the coming period.
