Under the auspices of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, the youth committee at Al-Khor Sports Club organized a workshop titled “The Importance of Agriculture.” This workshop is part of a series of workshops in the club’s summer camp. The workshop was presented by Mr. Ali bin Taleb Al-Hanzab, the initiator of the Ali Al-Hanzab Afforestation and Desertification Combat Initiative.

The lecture covered the importance of participants learning the skill of agriculture and familiarizing themselves with the significance of plants in human life and their substantial positive impact on the local environment. It also addressed the role agriculture plays in combating the effects of climate change.

Mr. Saleh Al-Obaidly, the director of the summer camp at the club, explained that Al-Khor Club contributes to utilizing the youth’s free time through its activities by engaging them in useful and beneficial tasks such as learning agriculture. These activities also increase environmental awareness and a sense of responsibility towards the environment.
