The historic Al-Zubarah area witnessed the competitions of the fourth edition of the Nighttime Al-Zubarah Challenge 2025, organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation in collaboration with Trails Sports Events, as part of Qatar’s desert race series. The races were held next to the ancient Al-Zubarah Fort, with the nighttime challenge open to all community segments, including men, women, and children.

More than 509 competitors from various nationalities and age groups participated, including 252 Qatari runners.

In the men’s 3 km open category, the outstanding competitor Youssef Suwaileh claimed first place and the gold medal. Guillaume Allain led the Masters category, while Omar Saloom topped the intermediate category for the same distance. Mathias Slats won the juniors category, and Majd Saloom led the beginners.

In the women’s 3 km open category, Hessa Al Sulaiti secured first place, with Dominika Bokarieva winning the intermediate category. Mikala Sending was the winner in the juniors category, and Maya Elias took the top spot among beginners.

In the men’s 5 km open category, Mokoya Abdul won first place, while Khalid Al-Khatouri led the Masters category. For women, Tina Olina won the open category, and Biljana Belk secured first place in the Masters category.

The 10 km race was marked by continuous excitement and challenge throughout its duration. Nour Eddine Abdullah won first place in the open men’s category, with Ben Naeem Mustafa leading the Masters. Among women, Doha Ismail won the open category, while Julie Milville took the Masters title.

The children’s 800-meter race was full of energy and competitive spirit. Abdullah Al-Obaidi won first place, followed by Diab Al-Obaidi in second. In the girls’ category, Leon Edison took first place, with Lulwa Al-Qahtani and Martina Maliga finishing second and third, respectively.
