In a vibrant summer atmosphere full of energy, the activities organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation, under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth and within the summer school programs of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, have attracted wide participation from students of all ages.
School playgrounds have been transformed into lively arenas filled with excitement, offering a diverse range of activities that bring together team sports such as football, basketball, and volleyball, alongside fitness programs, recreational events, and even modern sports like Muay Thai. Weekly tournaments and competitions, led by professional coaches, add to the enthusiasm and ensure that all interests are met.
As part of the overall summer program, the activities will culminate in a special closing ceremony at Lusail Sports Arena, where winners and outstanding participants will be honored in a celebration of teamwork and community spirit. The program aims to make sports a central part of daily life while strengthening positive community engagement.
This success reflects the fruitful cooperation between the Ministry of Sports and Youth and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, which has made the activities more engaging and turned the program into a model for investing the summer break in ways that encourage students to embrace a healthy and active lifestyle in a safe and inspiring environment.
Events are held across eight schools to reach as many participants as possible, with families keen to enroll their children so they can benefit from the variety of programs—whether by building physical skills or strengthening community ties. Activities run from Sunday to Wednesday, 9 AM to 1 PM, across four schools for girls—including Amna bint Wahb Secondary, Al Khor, and Sawda bint Zam’a Preparatory—as well as Khalifa School for boys.
Abdullah Al-Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, affirmed that the Federation’s involvement in the summer school centers, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, comes as part of the continuous growth and expansion of the “Summer Sports for All 2025” program.
He noted that the program has seen steadily increasing participation, reflecting the strong engagement of the community, and has become one of the Federation’s key initiatives.
Al-Dosari also emphasized that these activities have provided students with real opportunities to explore their talents and develop their skills in a safe and supportive environment. With the active support of families, the program has created a motivating atmosphere that highlights the role of sports in shaping children’s awareness, making the most of their summer vacation, and encouraging them to adopt an active and healthy lifestyle.
By combining sports, recreation, and health education, the initiative promotes a balanced and holistic approach to personal growth and community well-being.
