The National Sports Day Award 2026 is witnessing strong engagement and wide interest from various ministries, government entities, and private organizations seeking to participate in the second edition of the award.
The National Sports Day Committee continues to receive applications and monitor the sports activities organized by different entities in order to evaluate them and include their participation. The committee has called on all ministries, authorities, government institutions, and private sector organizations to take advantage of this national initiative and contribute to its objectives of promoting healthy lifestyles within society and strengthening the culture of sports participation.
The committee announced that the participation process involves registering event details through the Ministry of Sports and Youth’s website. Participations will be evaluated within seven days from the beginning of the month following the organization of the event.
The committee also highlighted the importance of promoting sports activities through social media platforms using the hashtags #I_chose_sports and #Sport_is_life while tagging the National Sports Day account (QASportsForAll). Participants are also required to document their activities through photos and videos, publish them through their official accounts, complete the event form, and provide details including the number of participants.
The committee emphasized the importance of adhering to health, safety, and security requirements in all sports activities. It also explained that points for the award will be calculated based on four main criteria: the number of events organized, the number of days on which they are held, the number of participants, and the percentage of employees from each entity who participate in other activities listed in the Sports for All calendar.
The winners will be announced during the award ceremony scheduled to take place on 1 February of next year.
