The first day of activities of the Sports for All Summer Camp for Children, organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation in partnership with the Ministry of Sports and Youth, witnessed wide participation from boys and girls aged 7–11 years at Lusail Sports Hall, along with notable attendance from parents.
The event was marked by a family-friendly atmosphere and strong interaction with the diverse sports and recreational programs. The first phase of the camp continues for two weeks, from Sunday to Thursday, combining sports, awareness, and educational activities aimed at enhancing children’s physical and mental abilities, promoting positive behavior, and strengthening values of cooperation and teamwork.
The children’s summer camp runs for eight weeks, divided into four stages, with each stage lasting two weeks. It offers a variety of sports and recreational activities, including speed and strength exercises, movement games, mini football matches, Muay Thai training, stretching, flexibility and balance exercises, table tennis, as well as awareness and educational programs.
Mr. Abdullah Al Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, confirmed that the first day of the summer camp featured a wonderful atmosphere that reflected the high level of engagement and participation. He highlighted parents’ commitment to accompanying their children to Lusail Sports Hall and encouraging them to participate in the activities and benefit from the sports and awareness programs provided from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
He noted that the children showed great enthusiasm and a clear desire to learn and engage with the various activities, supported by their families. This reflects the growing community awareness of the importance of sports participation and the value of using the summer vacation to develop children’s physical abilities, promote positive behavior, and strengthen cooperation and teamwork.
Al Dosari added that the camp continues to provide a comprehensive summer experience combining physical activity, entertainment, and education, helping enhance children’s physical and mental capabilities while instilling discipline, team spirit, and fair competition. He noted that the camp has become a preferred destination for families during the summer holiday.
The children’s camp is part of the Sports for All Summer Program 2026, which includes more than 90 championships, programs, and sports and community events targeting children, youth, and senior citizens. The program aims to promote healthy lifestyles and make effective use of free time during the summer vacation.
It also forms part of a broader vision focused on spreading a culture of healthy living and enhancing physical fitness through a comprehensive package of activities that combine sports, entertainment, and awareness.
With the continued support of the Ministry of Sports and Youth and through the diverse and renewed programs implemented by the Qatar Sports for All Federation, the initiative contributes to creating a generation that is healthy, knowledgeable, and characterized by positive values. The summer program provides an opportunity for children to benefit from quality activities, spend their free time productively, develop their abilities, and refine their skills.
