Shopping malls across Qatar are hosting the Mall Running and Walking Challenge, bringing together members of the community of all ages in a unique sporting experience that encourages physical activity and promotes an active lifestyle.
The latest challenge, hosted by Doha Festival City, attracted an impressive 300 participants, including men, women, youth, children, and senior citizens. Meanwhile, Qatar Mall welcomed around 170 participants, who took part in the challenge along its air-conditioned indoor walkways.
The Mall Running and Walking Challenge continues to attract growing participation from people of different age groups across 12 shopping malls throughout the country.
For his part, Abdullah Al Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, emphasized that the mall running and walking challenges have been characterized by strong attendance and positive engagement from shoppers and mall visitors. This has given the initiative a distinctive character and transformed shopping malls into vibrant spaces where community members can enjoy running and walking in a comfortable, air-conditioned environment during the hot summer months, encouraging them to maintain regular physical activity.
