The Celine area, with its golden sands, witnessed yesterday afternoon a new edition of the Celine Running Challenge, organized and sponsored by the Qatar Sports for All Federation, under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, and in cooperation with Trails Sports Events Company. The race is part of the Desert Tracks of Qatar running series, which includes five races: “The Zubara Challenge, Fuwairit, Celine, Al Wakra, and the Al Khor Challenge,” distributed throughout the year.
The 3 km race for men resulted in the remarkable athlete Yusuf Suwailah winning the open category with distinction, as he led all the competitors to claim first place. Meanwhile, Jarrallah Al-Nabti won the Masters category. For women in the open category, Maryam Al-Khaja secured first place, while Nadine Aliner took the lead in the Masters category. In the 5 km challenge, for women, Anja Greery won first place, and Widad Messaoui took the lead in the Masters category. For men, in the 5 km race, Makwaya Abdoul claimed first place, and Yassine Mehdhi was the leader in the Masters category.
In the 10 km race, female competitor Relambagos Risabel led the open category, winning first place, with Syodmark Agnieszka taking the Masters category’s top spot. In the men’s 10 km competition, Mustafa Benayem won first place in the open category, and Saad Ali Al-Qahtani was the leader in the Masters category, while Abdulaziz Al-Mohannadi secured second place. In the 800-meter race for children, Addison won first place for the girls, followed by Maya Elias in second, and Sheikha Al-Abdullah in third. For the boys, Hamid Al-Nabti won first place, followed by Syar Al-Tamimi in second, and Mishaal Al-Amadi in third.
After the competition ended, Abdullah Al-Dosari, the Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, along with Abdulaziz Al-Abdullah, the Manager of Trails, honored the top three winners in each category with awards and medals.
