With More Than 450 Participants, 6/5 Park hosted the second round of the Sports for All Spring Race Series 2026, attracting more than 450 runners of different ages and nationalities in a vibrant family-oriented atmosphere.
The event was organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation, in partnership with the Ministry of Sports and Youth and began at 5:00 p.m. on Friday as part of the Spring Running Series, which consists of four weekly races. The third round is scheduled for the following Friday, while the series will conclude with the fourth race on 22 May at the mountain biking trail in Education City.
The competition featured an enthusiastic and engaging atmosphere, with families actively participating together. Parents and children joined the challenge across 5 km and 2.5 km race distances, which were designed to accommodate different age groups and fitness levels. The event highlighted the importance of physical activity and reinforced the message that exercise should become an integral part of a healthy lifestyle.
Mr. Abdullah Al Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, described the second round of the Spring Running Series as another important step in the development of community sporting events. He praised the positive atmosphere, which encouraged participants to compete, challenge themselves, and enjoy the experience.
Al Dosari expressed his satisfaction with the strong turnout from participants of all ages, as well as the high level of family engagement, noting that this reflects the growing culture of sports and physical activity within the community. He further noted that the Spring Sports for All Race Series has shown remarkable growth from one edition to the next, both in terms of participation numbers and community engagement. According to Al Dosari, the series forms part of the Federation’s broader efforts to promote healthy lifestyles and encourage regular physical activity through attractive and innovative sporting events that offer new experiences for participants from all segments of society.
Through its comprehensive annual calendar, which includes more than 850 sporting and community events this year, the Qatar Sports for All Federation continues to build on the success of previous editions of the Spring Race Series.
