In partnership with the Ministry of Sports and Youth and organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation, the Aspire Indoor Track witnessed a successful launch of the first round of the 2026 Women’s Track Running Series, as part of ongoing efforts to promote women’s participation in sports and community activities.
The opening round attracted more than 220 participants from various age groups, including women and girls. The races commenced at 8:00 a.m, with distances and durations tailored to different age categories to ensure broad participation.
Race durations ranged from 15 to 30 minutes for women aged 17 and above, while girls aged 7 to 17 competed in 10-minute races. A special 5-minute race was also organized for young girls aged 3 to 6 years.
This age-specific format aims to provide opportunities for the largest possible number of participants to engage in the event and enjoy a positive sporting experience.
The running series consists of four rounds taking place throughout June at the Aspire Indoor Track on 7, 13, 20, and 26 June, offering participants a unique and rewarding sporting experience.
