The summer program “Swimming for All”, organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, is witnessing growing participation from children aged 7 to 12 as it enters its fourth week. The program is attracting notable engagement from families keen on enrolling their sons and daughters to acquire swimming skills in a safe environment supervised by specialized coaches at Al-Arabi and Al-Wakrah clubs and Jameeliya Youth Center. The swimming lessons offer a valuable opportunity to invest the summer holiday in sports and enhance physical abilities.

The swimming training sessions are part of the diverse activities and events calendar of Sports for All Summer 2025, held in stadiums, sports halls, clubs, youth centers, public parks, and schools, involving many ministries, institutions, organizations, and commercial centers. The summer program runs until August 7 and aims to promote a healthy lifestyle and motivate community members, especially children and students, to stay active during the summer vacation.

The Al-Arabi Sports Club pool hosts intensive training sessions for the fourth consecutive week, supervised by qualified coaches and scheduled to accommodate different age groups and privacy needs. Boys train from Sunday to Wednesday between 3 PM and 4 PM, while girls train on Saturday and Monday mornings from 9 AM to 11 AM, in a safe training environment that ensures maximum privacy. The swimming program enjoys strong support from families who accompany their children during sessions, reflecting awareness of the importance of early sports participation.

The summer swimming program continues at Al-Wakrah Sports Club pool, which welcomes boys for training sessions throughout the week from 3 PM to 4 PM. Girls train on Saturdays and Thursdays from 5 PM to 6 PM. Additionally, the Jameeliya Youth Center pool hosts boys’ training from 4 PM to 5 PM, Sunday through Wednesday, as part of the federation’s effort to expand the program and reach more participants.

The six-week “Swimming for All” summer program, conducted at sports clubs and youth centers pools, goes beyond teaching basic swimming skills. It offers a comprehensive training and educational environment aimed at nurturing promising talents and preparing a strong, outstanding generation of athletes. It also serves as a productive way to spend summer holidays, with significant interest and participation from families aware of the importance of teaching swimming to children.

Through this program, the Qatar Sports for All Federation fulfills its goals of spreading and embedding a culture of sports practice throughout the community.
